Last summer 2013, me, my sister, mother and some of my relatives went to Asia's World City, Hong Kong, This is definitely our first family vacation outside the Philippines (yahooo!). The plane took off from Davao around 9 a.m. and had a quick stop in Manila. We stayed in the airport for a while, had our lunch and waited 4 hours before our flight to HK. We arrived at night and went out for a dinner.
I'll be sharing to you our trip in HK through the pictures below:

Did you know that this city is a former colony of the British Empire? Way back 1800s China cedes Hongkong island to Britain after the First Opium War. It was considered as the global financial capital of Britain. After 150 years of British control, Hongkong is handed back to China.

Who can ever forget these yummy and famous street foods of HK?
After we had our dinner, we immediately went to our room and had our rest so as to regain energy for the next day.
Watch out for my next post! Next travel diary coming up! Stay tuned!

Good day! You're in the right place. I
am extremely happy because a few months after graduating in college, finally, I would be able to share to you this personal site wherein I can spill my
thoughts and experiences, express my ideas, and venture my passion about life, style
and travel. I never did imagine that I will be able to express myself and share tidbits of my life through blogging. You're probably wondering why I entitled my blog as 'SCM Diaries'? Here's the answer: SCM stands for Stephanie Celebrado Merced (my full name) and Diaries or my personal collection of experiences and thoughts of the day.
This first post is way back earlier
June 2014 when I along with my family and cousins went to San Victor Island
located in Baganga, Davao Oriental. This place was recommended by a family friend and I immediately googled it and found that this place is a must to go to!

Having clean and clear seawaters,
pristine sand, San Victor Island is a-must-go places to those beach lovers like me. It is a good way to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, a perfect time to unwind and relax.
Upon reaching the island, we were amazed that there were cottages and some locals were also present where in you can let them cook your food. We also noticed that there were tourists who had their overnight stay in the island. Truly, I am so thankful and grateful to God for He really made all things beautiful and magnificent and one of those is this island, San Victor Island :)
